One consideration is that by doing business with such countries, you are aiding in the economic stability of the government.  In such cases, you could be helping to perpetuate the totalitarian regime which otherwise may have collapsed if not for the benefits they derive from your cooperation.  It can very well be that you are making profit from labor practices which are considered immoral and illegal in your own nation (and thus, while perhaps legal, are still immoral anywhere else).

Think China or Mexico.  While Mexico is not totalitarian, they are still tyrannical.  They obviously have little regard for the welfare of their citizens, just as a totalitarian regime, and are still oppressive of their citizens, they are oppressed by economic force rather than military force.  Pretty much the same ethical considerations are involved.
