At the end of January, most W2 forms should be available online.
However, there are a couple of things you may need in order to retrieve your copy of your W2 form:
- Confirmation that your employer makes your W2 form available online. Although it is standard practice in most modern companies, some are behind the times and still only mail out W2 forms in the post.
This process can take a little longer. - You will usually need access to Turbotax or some sort of payroll provider. Your company should provide you with the login details for that.
Here's a piece of advice direct from the experts:

Depending on the availability of these documents from your financial institution and employer, this feature will make your w-2 accessible in TurboTax on January 1" - I would always recommend clarifying the process with your employer. Some even have internal systems or websites by which you can download or import your W2 form. So it is worth double checking.
