Since Deadliest Catch premiered on the Discovery Channel in 2005, perhaps only one of the featured ships can be said to have 'crashed' during that time, though several have sunk.

Alaskan Monarch was a 92 foot crab fishing vessel which became trapped in ice and ran aground near the harbor of St Paul Island on March 15th 1990, having been beached there by a storm. The crew of 6 were rescued, but the ship itself was destroyed. The fate of Alaskan Monarch was mentioned during seasons 2 and 3 of Deadliest Catch. Two other ships which also ran aground, but were also not featured as part of the main series, were American Star (season 1) and Arctic Hunter (season 10)

A Ship Featured in the Show Which Sank

The most notable loss came in the very first season of Deadliest Catch, when Big Valley, another 92 foot long vessel, capsized and sank 70 miles west of St Paul Island. Of the crew of 6, only one man survived. The Coast Guard Investigation into the incident concluded the ship had capsized due to excessive weight, with Big Valley taking to sea with three times the permitted cargo of bait.
