A (very) little research online suggests that unskilled workers can earn about $1700 a month. Skilled (but not graduate) workers probably make around $2500 a month, starting.

It might look like a lot, but remember that (with the exception of cars/automobiles and rental accomodation) everything in Germany is more expensive than most of the rest of the world.

If you have a degree (preferably an engineering degree) then things are sohh much better.
