I use Muddrs Utter cream, if that doesn't work I have a hot wax machine I soak my hand in.
My grandpa's favorite for this was Corn Huskers Lotion.
Blend together a mix of hand cream and Polysporin. Wash hands, lightly dry and lather on that mix. Wear some cotton gloves . Do all this before going to bed.
You can reapply this mix lightly during the day after washing hands.
Avoid strong cleaning chemicals. If you do use chemicals, wear rubber gloves.
Lots of lotion.
If you have your hands in water a lot wear gloves.
That happens to me when I'm doing a lot of work with mortar, concrete and joint compound. I'll dab some Bag Balm on where the skin is cracked and cover it with a bandage for a day or two. And like Echooos said, lots of hand lotion.
