Both MCV and MCHC are the part of complete blood count. Both are related with complete red blood cells count. They are used to help diagnose anemia. MCV is related with average red blood cell size and MCHC is related with the amount of hemoglobin relative to the size of the cell per red blood cell.
MCV Normal range is 80 to 100. Below this range cause microcytic anemia. Above this range causes macrocytic anemia. MCHC normal range is 32 to 36. Below this range causes Hypochromic anemia and high levels cause hyperchromic anemia.
