The Kroger Co. Is a retail supermarket chain founded by Bernard Kroger in 1883 in Cincinnati, Ohio. It reported US$ 76.7 billion in sales during fiscal year 2009. It is the country's largest grocery store chain and its second-largest grocery retailer by volume and second-place general retailer in the country, with Wal-Mart being the largest. As of 2010, Kroger operated, either directly or through its subsidiaries 3,619 stores. Kroger's headquarters are centralized in downtown Cincinnati, but it spans many states with store formats that include supermarkets, hypermarkets, department stores, convenience stores and mall jewelry stores. Kroger-branded grocery stores are located throughout the Midwestern and Southern United States.
Most Kroger stores will employ people from the age of 14 upwards but employment rules can vary from state to state so it is worth checking with your local authorities first. At the age of 14 the potential employee may well require a work permit. This needs to be signed by their parents and basically gives anyone under the age of 16 parental permission to work.
If you are in any way unsure about the employment policies of Kroger it may well be worth contacting their head office and speaking to someone personally. You can find them at The Kroger Co., Customer Relations, 1014 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202-1100 and the telephone number is (513) 762-4000.

The last information I have found shows 14 as the minimum age for cashier jobs, but it's probably a good idea to contact the kroger website and see what they have to offer you. Good luck.
