It is so much easier if you do the Unemployment on-line. You should get another statement telling you whether it was denied or approved. You will also have to answer a 2nd time of why you are unemployed, The whole time it takes to receive your 1st unemployment check is approx. 4-6 weeks. You will get the back pay. They hold the first week and you never get it. It is called a waiting week credited.
