Triangles are mainly found in roofs. Another area where specifically Right angled triangle are used commonly are handicap ramps. Pythagoras theorem is used to calculate the diemnsions of the ramp and it states  for all right angle triangles the sum of the square of the
lengths of the two legs is equal to the square of the length of the
hypotenuse.
So based on the height of the ramp and the slope of the ramp, an architect will use pythagoras theroem to determine how steep to make it and so what should be the length of the ramp.
They are also used in truss designs to support roofs.
