If your employer reports it you are going to have to pay it yourself. I would find out if they report it. (they are by law to report it) I would set some money a side for the tax.

At the end of the year you might get a "1099". Just like a W2 (although taxes have already been withheld and paid by the employer), it is still reviewed at the end of the year to determine how much you should have paid.

Generally when you yourself are responsible for paying Uncle Sam they sometimes request that you make "Estimated tax payments" through the year so they don't have to wait for their money.

Most "nice" places that offer to file your taxes for you can answer general questions about how you should go about making sure the IRS is not knocking on your door one day asking where their money is. Also it is good to find this out right away because "not knowing" is not an excuse, there may be fees for not making payments yourself throughout the year and waiting until tax time to do so.
