1. Fun new game or board game - If it's fun and brand new it could keep them going for hours. Depending on the age group, it could be anything from the game Clue to whack-a-mole.2. Snacks, including one for you - In case you need a snack, and aren't in the mood for goldfish or the childish snacks that they have, bring one for yourself that you'll enjoy. Either sneak it when the kids aren't looking or make sure you have enough for everyone- and permission that they can have it.3. A DVD! Again, it depends on how old they are. There are many old forgotten movies that are really great that our generation hasn't seen yet. Clue (like the board game!) is a great comedy for both girls and boys. It's a little spooky (there is a murder involved) so the kids should be at least 10, but still the movie is very light and hilarious and will have you in stitches all the while. If you're just babysitting girls, there are a lot of girly movies you can go with like Wild Child, Clueless, etc. If you're going to make a whole business out of babysitting, then stock up on some DVD's that while fit a variety of ages. If it's just a one time thing and you're not being paid much, DON'T BOTHER!4. Have a cellphone on hand in case of emergency, and also know where the home phone is. Make sure you get a list of emergency numbers to call!5. Also a list of allergies the kids have, if any.6. Um... Bring a coloring book and some nice new markers? Kids from ages 3-7 like coloring books. 7. You could have an art project planned. Maybe you guys could make lava lamps in a jar or something? I did that once when babysitting. Here's a website with a bunch of ideas: FamilyFun.go.com/OfficialSite . Make sure it's not too messy or not appropriate for the age group of the children.8. Speaking of the age group of the children, they may all like different things. So come prepared!9. Or just bring nothing. That's what I usually do, and I know a bunch of games and fun stuff so it works out fine.
Well for a babysitting bag I'd put in some colorful books, some healthy snacks, color pencils and crayons, some paper, diapers (depends on age of child), and whatever else you think you would need(:
