I think if a woman truly wanted to, then she should have every right to do so.

I just think that it should not be like mandatory for a woman to serve on the front line...like it is for men, but I think if a woman put a request in, to serve on the front line then it should be honored.

And the answer is ask jessica lynch.(nothing meant against miss lynch she was at least trying to serve her country).in all truth no i don't think little girls(literally under 135 pounds less weight than their pack and rifle) should be in the military front lines.it ends up costing more time and man power to try and protect them or rescue them. We never see a seal group going back for one of their male soldiers that are being used to trade for prisoner release.the truth is most of them should never be in the military as soldiers and they know it. I'm not saying that they can't serve but to think a 120(or less) pound woman can drag a 80 pound pack and rifle everywhere, not to mention trying to drag a 200 pound + injured soldier from a i.e.d explosion or in a fire fight  is just nonsensical.they end up putting a extra strain on the others they are serving with. Even i know when i can't carry my own weight.(am most likely to be a burden  to someone) remember you asked.not to mention the torture they mite have to endure if they are kidnapped/taken. To me it just does not make sense.

My son weighed 130 pounds soaking wet when he joined the Navy. Weight is not meaningful, but proper training is. There are many women who are larger and stronger than many men. To place all under a blanket statement is wrong.

It is a known fact men have upper body stength verses size and weight.so even if your son weighed 130 he is and will be stronger than most women of the same size and weight..there maybe some women that can train and become as strong as a man but to deny the overall fact that the normal average everyday woman(female soldier) is not likely to train like that and would be a burden on her platoon members is not realistic and you know this.sorry, if you take offense to the truth.

NO! Cause they'll start to cry and then some of the men will have to carry her ass out.
Female pilots have been known to start crying in their aircraft when things didn't go right.
No opinion, just facts.   But, if they're real ulgy, let them be first. Lol

Just a little sexist, don't 'cha think Gene?

What about the women who save the men's behinds? I've also heard stories about male pilots (from many of my friends and relatives who have served in various military branches) crying in their aircraft when things don't go correctly for them.

As far as letting them be first if they're "real ugly" (Lol), there is more than one type of beauty, one of which may or may have saved your butt one day, none of which should be ridiculed.

There aren't really 'front lines' anymore. But I say sure because a soldier is a soldier regardless of what's in the pants.

My answer is NO and I proudly say that because I did serve for 15.8 years and I was on  the frontline. It changed my heart FOREVER. .
I learned and travelled so much in the military and it was the GREATEST experience I could EVER have. But, the downfall is this:

American MEN are extremely protective. Let's say bullets are flying. The enemy is coming. I know  that every man who ever served NEXT to me would have GLADLY taken that bullet before it got me. If the situation worsened to POW, it would be horrible for him to see what might happen to me. We raise OUR sons to be like that...Brave ..Courageous and Loving....I dont EVER want to see an American SUFFER emotionally because of what might have been prevented if Congress could just make ONE rule. Women have NO place on the frontline. Our men have enough to worry about without protecting us on the frontline. It is just human nature for American men to be distracted and protective of us. This could cost a man, his life.

Well, I'm torn. I think a woman fully deserves to defend their country, but I read not too long ago that 1/3 of women who served in the Army admit (note: Admit) to being raped. I think women should serve, but with the stipulation that all recruits be put through more rigorous psychological assessment.

In the interest of TOTAL EQUALITY, with zero exceptions, then yes, they should.

Women murderers are already executed in Texas, Florida and North Carolina, just as male murderers are, right?

I have seen some women who were definitely tough enough to serve on the front line, I realize all women are not suited for the front line or the military, just as all men are not suited for the military
When the going gets tough the tough get going.
