Well, considering women make up around 50% of the population in most countries, and the concept of a parliament is based on the idea of representing the people of a nation, then it only seems logical that women should be part of that parliament.
On a practical level, it also stands to reason that women should be in parliament, as they can share views about things that men might not be as well informed on.
