Decision time. Slitherine games has offered me a full time position as a beta-tester. I don't need the money but I wouldn't be on blurtit much anymore. I'm asking the community for advice as to whether to stay here or take the other job ?

You've gotta ask yourself what John Wayne would have done. I can hear him now. "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do."

We'll miss you on here, Rooster -- big time -- but if that's the next phase of your life you probably need to think hard about accepting. When doors open it's silly not to step through and see what's on the other side.

I think your friends would be supportive of whatever you felt you must do. If beta testing would make you happy, and it's something you feel strongly about then go for it. We would miss you, but I would know that you are happy, even if it's being somewhere else. That's really all that means anything to me about this, your happiness. A hard choice, I know, but you'll do what's best for you.

I cannot speak for the community, but I would miss your input.  But you must decide what is best for you. Would you be more comfortable as a Beta tester? Would it fulfill your life. Would you be at home, able to swim when you desired, or would this be a 9-5 type job?  Some things you must consider. Best of luck making this decision :)

I've put so much of myself into this site that it's not an easy decision. I'm dedicated to blurtit but I keep getting jacked around.

You could always try taking a couple of weeks off, and when you come back, see if you are appreciated for the work you put into this site.

In the end you have to decide what's going to be best for you. If you're not willing to slack off on Blurtit because of the emotional attachment to the site, then it wouldn't be worth it no matter what the offer was. If it were me I'd take the beta-testing gig. I checked out the website and it sounds like an awesome job. That could be an opportunity you might regret not taking. Plus, it's not like you wouldn't be allowed to do both, you'll have to manage your time and set priorities.

I'd go for it, congrats and best of luck in your choice!

I believe that I speak for the community and say that you are a force to be reckoned with on Blurtit.com. However, it sounds like behind the scenes, it's a different story.

That being said, I would miss you terribly. I love your input and your "thanks" for all my answers.

You need to do what's in your best interests. It doesn't seem like this site has been good to you in ways that you are not free to elaborate on.

I wouldn't stay, if I were you, if you feel stifled here. The other job sounds like an interesting challenge and you'll be paid for your efforts. I think you have a good plan - see what Blurtit says and then make your decision. I wish you good luck in your decision and wish you all the best. You're awesome!
