Actually... Not exactly... It's a little more complicated than that. But... A contract could be initiated by simply buying a movie ticket and dropping into an admission box.
We could agree that it's warm out today... THAT is not a contract, even though we are in agreement.
However, if an agreement involves an exchange of sorts, like when both parties do something for each other, or exchange something of value... then you may have a contract.
