Does anybody have a job/career that people tend to look down on, but you truly love?

Well right now I am being a housewife and mother. I put my career on hold to be there for my family. Some who are having health issues. Being at home is a thankless job, yet is one of the most important jobs to have. People judge me because they think housewives sit at home all day and watch soap operas, eating bon bons.

My family is the most important thing to me. I don't want to look back and have the successful career and my family is gone. They will only be my gifts for a short time, I'm here to see them through.

It's on page 11. That way you don't have to comb through every thing. Only if you're bored. I'll probably post her picture again sometime anyway. :))

I don't know if people look down on it and don't really care but I'm retired from regular work. The two things I do now, I really love doing. One is being an Administrator for blurtit and the other is being a beta-tester for PC games for Slitherine. Love those jobs and enjoy both!

Well I spend my extra time managing my own portfolios and investing in stocks. Every now and then I see or hear something along the lines of "Shareholders are ruining and controlling the world!" Well jeez, I'm just trying to get a nice big mansion on a hill for my mama here.

I'm a receptionist at the moment and a lot of people have just said "oh, you're just the receptionist" without actually thinking how much work etc and thinking and planning we actually have to do
