Here are two views on that subject Otis. Hard to tell but I would have to say no. I want to believe they treat Vets better but I've seen plenty of mistreatment over the years.

Yes and no, our vets recieve free medical care, however, they are or have been bound to the Vet medical circle. The Vet adminstration as a medical group sucks and has put our vets in a bad position. I think that has changed to a small point, I'm not sure how far the changes have taken shape.
An illegal immigrant gets taken to the closest hospital that may be one of the best in the nation, and could very well have better care then at the Vets Admin. So yes it's possible. It's a failure in our system. Vets shuold have the same option, and may now, but I'm not totally sure of how the law changed in the last couple of years.
