Alot of security gaurds do not carry guns and the ones carrying guns are shot at for no reason. You could not give me their job
Any job/career is dangerous if you end up meeting the wrong person.
Becuase they can meet robbery situation anytime and in that situation anything can happen.
Just like soldiers they give their life to protect others.
Because it involved with fight, gun, or other dangerous stuff.
It really depends on where you are working. Does your city have a high crime rate? Would you be working as security for a high risk company or watching a parking garage and be bored to tears?
Just being a security guard doesn't mean you'll be in danger...
Because security jobs ARE potentially dangerous....at the hospital, our security personnel face hostile families, people high on drugs, people detoxing off drugs/alcohol....yes, dangerous job, glad someone is there to do it though!
It depends on what "people" you are talking about, and where the "security guard" is working.
Example: A security guard working for a security company patrolling normal businesses or residences will make about minimum wage - so, obviously, their employers don't think the job is dangerous.
Because they put themselves in harm's way to stand between dangerous troublemakers and innocent bystanders. I appreciate them very much!
Security Guard job description from the internet:
Responsible for patrolling the premises of residences or buildings to detect suspicious activity, assist tenants, and ensure the safety of occupants.
That sounds like a good description of "In harm's way."
