Someone is trying to drag me out of my comfortable, lazy retirement. Should I be flattered? Should I continue lazy? I'd have to work some of the time from India. That's hard enough work on its own.

Unless you really need the money or you're really bored ? I would say NO ! I work here for blurtit and beta-test games at my leisure and enjoy being retired ! Otherwise, Ray ? Stay retired and enjoy your life !

RAY! Are you really that bored? I could think of some things for you to do! But seriously, do whatever makes you happy!

Based on your various comments it's clear that you don't need to go back to work. But, if the work is such that you'd get satisfaction and purpose from doing it, then go for it.

I was waiting for an eye doctor some years ago when an ancient man came in for his appointment and told the receptionist, "I used to be an ophthalmologist, you know." The poor old bugger's self-esteem had dwindled when he was no longer working and he hadn't found his way ahead. Lots of geezers are like that. You're not. So it's just a matter of whether you'd find it enjoyable and, hopefully, challenging.

Good advice.
There is an "ego trip" element to this.
The guy who wants me to go to work for him thinks that I am actually much more clever than I am, and that I will make him LOADS of money.
One part of me wants to prove him right......

You only need stay as long as it's rewarding for you.
