Where does Uncle Sam spend the payments I make for social security?

It's supposed to go into the Social Security fund for when you retire. Then you can get it back in monthly payments. They would love to raid that Fund for other things but they can't do it ! Those payments out of your check go right to the S.S. Fund !

Actually, Rooster ... Congress did away with that fund decades ago, from what I've been told. It all goes to the General Fund, now. And the checks for Social Security come out of the General Fund.

Otherwise, the "Social Security Fund" would have actually gone broke decades ago - as people take out more than they contribute.
