A primary care clinic will do basic exams and routine health care, as well as urgent care when needed. Urgent care is when you have a problem and need care now, but are not to the point you need an emergency room. Last time I used an urgent care clinic I was traveling and came down with strep throat. I need medication to battle it, but I didn't need or want to go to the more expensive and more elaborate emergency room at the hospital.
