Roger federer has won 15 Grand Slam titles so far i.e. Till Dec-2009  Australian Open - 3  (years - 2004, 2006 & 2007)  French Open  - 1      (year - 2009)  Wimbledon - 6   (years - 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009)  US Open   - 5    (years - 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008)  The good news is that he has reached Australian Open 2010 final. If he wins this match against Andy Murray, then his winning numbers will increase to 16 Grand Slams, which is a remarkable achievement.  He is now only 28 years old.  He may win more and more grand slams in the coming years.  Reaching his numbers in the future will be very very difficult.

By definition, the Grand Slam Tournaments are:

Australian Open
US Open
French Open
Wimbledon.

Federer has won the Men's Single division at them, this many times:

Australian Open: 3 (2004, 2006, 2007)
US Open: 3 (2004-2006)
French Open: 0 -- he came 2nd in 2006, though.
Wimbledon. 4 (2003-2006).

To make a grand total of 10 Grand Slam tennis tournaments won, so far. And he's far from finished, isn't he? Doesn't even turn 26 years old until later this year (2007).

He does play doubles at professional level, but (as far as I can tell!) hasn't won any of the Grand Slam Tournaments playing as part of a doubles set (has probably won some of the Masters Series Tournaments, though).
