It is an entrance exam which everybody has to attempt. The minimum score required for joining the Navy services is 35. The main subjects that are required to study are Arithmetic Reasoning (AR), Math Knowledge (MK) and Verbal Composite (VE). This is known as an Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT).
