It seems a lot of people have asked the same question, but it's hard to find the answer as soap actors (in the US, anyway; I couldn't find anything on other countries) are usually paid by the episode, not with a salary. I've heard figures of $600-$800 per episode for unknown actors, and of course a lot more if you're famous. It sounds a lot until you ask yourself how many episodes an actor is likely to appear in.
