Unless you were "demoted", given a lesser job I am quite sure he can't just cut or reduce your pay without your consent. You were hired and offered a certain salary that I assume you accepted.If the pay you agreed to when you took the job was mutual between you and your employer, he cannot just decide to reduce it. If the company is suffering financially and he cannot afford your salary, he has the right to share that with you and ask you to take a pay cut, but it has to be with your permission.
