About the same amount of funding that the average state in the US is siphoned off for in order to allow one prisoner to rot on death row for 10 years awaiting conviction. Luckily for Texans, the taxpayers don't pay for brain surgeons, directly at least. Although, they might benefit from it as a whole if lobotomy's were both mandatory and covered by Medicare. But, of course, I am just being silly. We all know that the average death row prisoner spends much less than ten years waiting to be convicted in the courts of Texas, whether guilty or not guilty. If you are actually debating on which doctorate to pursue and asking advice from people on the internet, I suggest you consider a career in Psychology.

If you have to ask you not ready( yet) to be a doctor. If that's important to you you will fail medical school.
