To become a primary school teacher one should complete a three years degree course. Then a Bachelor of Education is degree is also required for the entry level examination. But even if the person does not have a three year degree course, then two years course is also helpful.

A primary teacher should have the ability to make a child understand and also in return understand what a child needs. He or she should make life simpler for the child rather than loading them with home works and jargon words. In a playful manner a child will learn must faster than by-hearting books. The very first requirement is to be patient with the child and have lot of perseverance. These are the basic qualities needed to become a primary teacher.

Along with an experience of being a "student's teacher" that is regarded as the practical experience, one also needs to have a valid license in order to pursue teaching as a career. Arts, science and language that are considered to be certifiable areas that play an important role, because a bachelor's degree in any of the above field seems to be a must. The initial years of teaching are supposed to be constantly evaluated by state, local and also private organisations sometimes. Passing standardised exams that are held at the national or state level also serve as a must. Teachers are expected to appear for these exams and perform well, for not only the subjects that they are planning to teach, but also the method that they teach is taken under examination.

You need to go to College or University to get a degree, you will be advised by your careers officer what degree to go for. You then apply to a teacher training college and work your socks off..

The rules for becoming a primary school teacher varies from country to country. However, with reference to the general rule in UK, you need to complete your A-Level. You can join a Teacher Training College and get a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Normally this takes around 2-3 years. After completing this training you can join a primary school as a teacher.
