The qualifications that are needed for a person to be a veterinary doctor are that you need to be a graduate with the D.V.M or a D.V.M that is the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine that is degree course of 4 years from a recognized college in the veterinary medicine. You also need a license to practice. You should also have been a part of the Preveterinary courses that particularly emphasize on these sciences. You also need to have classes in organic & inorganic chemistry, Biochemistry, zoology, microbiology, cellular biology and the related terms. Tehy6 also require the knowledge of courses like English.

In addition to all this, you also need to submit the scores of your performance in the Graduate Record Examination, the Veterinary College Admission Test or the Medical College Entrance Test. This will go on the basis of the choices of the Medical Colleges you had offered. You are normally given the campus selections which are on the basis of your ability and skills in the related field.

I am currently doing my GCSE's in double science and IT but have had a career plan change and would like to go into animal welfare. As soon as I have completed my exams I will be volunteering at a local veterinary practise doing what I can until my exam results come through, I will be studying many sciences at college and hopefully going on to be a veterinary assistant then onto higher and maybe even own my own veterinary practice. Thats my dream and I know enough to achieve it I hope =D
