Yes, anesthesiologist are the ones who do the shots. I have been going to the "pain specialist" of oregon for the last 2-3 years due to a car accident and have been receiving epidural spinal blocks. They work great. There are also some other types of injections available depending on your pain, where it is located and what it affects. You could try to see if there is a pain specialist in your area! When I first started getting the shots there were a few times that they didn't work as well as others. It may take a few times to work. Good luck with everything.

Spinal Stenosis should be treated by doctors who specialize in treatment of the spine and spinal cord.
 I suggest you see a neurologist or orthopedic specialist.

Try an OBGYN... I believe the anesthesiologist gives the epidurals...
