From the point of view of the person or organization who carries out the headhunting, the main advantage is that you get some top people to work for you, and can often get a competitive advantage as you have also deprived another company - usually a rival - of a valuable person too. However, this can also lead to poor relationships and breakdonw of trust with other firms.
