The problem of being a team leader is that a team leader has to take charge of each and everything. His task is to take inputs from all the group members by getting them involved in the team meetings and discussions. One example includes dealing with free riders. In a group, there is always a person or more than one individual who are unwilling to work. The biggest challenge is to deal with those free riders. Another example includes allowing the group to think dynamically and avoiding team conflict among the group members. In order to produce a good outcome, team leader should also make sure that group remains cohesive and avoids group thinking (a process in which group starts thinking so similar that new ideas stop coming in the group).
