A team meeting is usually a gathering of all member of a particular team. Team meetings are usually convened to keep members informed of any new developments and to discuss the present situation. It is a good forum wherein members can discuss their problems and come up with solutions. In addition is an ideal setting for some decision making. Any new ideas or innovations can also be discussed.

Team meetings should be held wherever there is a team of any sort, like a hockey team, basketball team or even teams that work together. A successful team meeting requires a lot of preparation before hand. The leader or manager has to establish some goals namely what is to be accomplished by the proposed meeting. An agenda with a time limit for each point should be prepared. Attendance should be restricted according to the goal and the agenda. The appointed leader must ensure that the discussion does not drift away from the points on the agenda.
