My aunt does. :p
Lots of people do. I used to.
I worked for 6.5 years at a large local bank. I had okay pay and good benefits. Not a bunch of money to be made working at a bank unless you're in management or you decide you want to ROB a bank. I worked as an admin - had 6 wonderful bosses. They were all former military men. Two were brusque, liked to bark orders at people like they did in the military.
One was my greatest champion. He barked - expected me to jump - when I didn't, he laughed and told me we would get along great. When my step-son died, while he was in the Air Force, he told me that if I needed ANYTHING at all, he would move heaven and earth to help me.
Working at a bank is much like working anywhere. You meet some great people, some not so great people, you get your benefits package and work your fanny off and hopefully someone will notice.
many of my friends work in banks
