It would be really sad to say something important to someone, and not being listened, to say and advice or a tip to a friend or relative and not get any response by that person. That is why I consider that if you don't listen carefully you don't care, you don't respect tha person, you seem like deaf or dead-alive. Thus, we can lose connection, we can let that person down, we can brake someone's illusions, we could destroy someone's dreams. We most of the times listen what we want, what we need, what is helpful and will give us satisfaction. It would be be very human to hear someone crying and look for a way to wash that frustration away, or, on the other hand, enjoy that happiness saying something interesting to that person.
