How Many Years Does It Take To Be A Doctor?

To become a doctor it need to take 4 years in your pre-med course. And another 3 years to study about your specializations. Therefore, it takes you 7 years to be a Full-time Doctor ^^

First you have to complete your Bachelor's with a focus on pre-med which takes 4 years. Then you have to complete Medical school or a school that specializes in the medicine you are interested in whether it be podiatry, chiropractic, dentistry, etc. This takes another 4 years. After you complete these 4 years you go into internship, which is usually another year. Then you become a resident doctor, which is another 4 years. So in total, to become a pediatrician takes about 12 years of training after high school. If you specialize further such as in pediatric psychiatry, it will take another 2-4 years.

It takes 7-8 years to complete your medical studies.
