You could try just being an observer of the people that surround you at work and LISTEN to the interactions they have with others so that you might pick up on what they are interested in.  You may find that your interests are similar so you create a situation where you can start a conversation based on common interest with said individuals.  You could start a lunch date where you pick a place to go one week and someone else picks the next and so on.  Suggest a staff social (going for drinks on a fri. Or dinner and a movie night).  The thing is.....you have to put yourself in the mix or you will forever be the odd person out and Nobody wants to be that person.
