In order to become a peace officer you must have graduated through high school. In addition to this, you will need to undergo a series of tests with the establishment you wish to work for before you can proceed. This will include a written examination, physical examination, interview and an extensive training course. You will need to be at least 20 years old in order to be considered and have no criminal record whatsoever.
This section of the process will look to test your ability with language, mathematics and general arithmetic. You will be notified as to when and where the examination will take place and you will be required to pass it in order to be considered.
The physical examination of the process will not only test your physical ability like strength and stamina, but it will also include a medical to see how healthy you are. These tests will show the recruitment team if you are in a fit state to become a peace officer.
This is where a senior member of the team will investigate you as a person. This will include a background check and a review of your academic achievements.
