I think the kinder, gentler leader's image is not a fad rather it has always been there like any other leadership style. It depends on the leader, as to which one would be like to opt for.Brash, tough-minded & dominant style or the kinder, gentler way?

Throughout the years as well as strong, or tyrannical, or military leaders, there have also been , wise, kinder and gentler leaders, so I would say it is not a fad .
