You could do a plethora of things with a cna certificate. I am also certified and you can do things such as ; hospital, nursing homes, assisted living (they don't pay much though because you don't have to be certified there), in patient care....now, if you are talking about making more than the measely $9-$10 per hour that most cna's make, you should shoot for working in the hospital or doing personal patient care (meaning you go to the patients home). You can also work as a freelance c.n.a. Selling your services to families and whatnot. The problem with being a cna doing personal direct care is sometimes the family or resident might treat you like a personal maid....UGH.....

Here are some other options that are a little more pleasant:

)Medical administrative assistant- usually, these jobs go to medical assistants who know how to bill insurance, however, there are some small practices and clinics that do not accept insurance which means if you have a medical background at all, that can be seen as a major plus. Try to look for 'personal wellness' clinics in your area or a clinic that focuses on a certain niche; skin, spa, etc.

)You can work as a weight loss consultant or get into fitness sales. Of course, a cna certification is not required for these positions as many don't even require experience, but it sure looks good on your resume. Look for 'weight loss centers' in your area or fitness clubs and gyms. You can even try to look for diabetic centers. If you really want to get the good jobs, you have to do a little cold-calling and asking people directly if they need help, or else you will be stuck in the nursing homes 'hospital jobs are hard to get'. Well, I hope that helped.
