Every five hours you work you are entitled to 30 minutes (eating break). This is according to the Employment Standards Act of Ontario (Canada). Obviously, it depends where you live. However, you can check the employment standards act of any province or state online.
You it says 30 minutes for every 5 consecutive hours... What happens when you work 9 hour shift. Do you only get 30 minutes total? What about the extra 4 hours worked. How many breaks do you get paid and unpaid?
