The world’s largest employer is the Wal-Mart stores chain from the United States that employs 1,800,000 employees. Deutsche Post of Germany is the second largest employer with a total of 502,545 employees. On third place is the Siemens group, again form Germany that has 461,000 employees. McDonalds employs 447 thousand and is a close fourth. The other large employers are Carrefour group with 440, 479 employees, Compass group with 410,074 employees; united parcel service has 407,000 employees, Gazprom from Russia has 396,571 employees, DaimlerChrysler of Germany has 382,724 employees and Hitachi, Japan has 355,879 employees.

Technically every chinese citizen works for the state so I suppose one could argue that they are the worlds biggest employer. Next to that has to be the US Government with it's very large military and civil infrastructure. Not sure after that! Bryan at top seo tools
