You have a right to investigate about your doctor. In case you are under going any surgery from a certain doctor and you do not have any details about him and is a complete stranger to you, you have a right to take his test. People often take references of a handy man or a TV repair man then why not of a doctor. You are putting your life in one's hand that you are not even aware of. There are certain questions you can ask your doctor such as educational background, years of professional experience, specialty, previous hospital work experience, criminal background if any and more such information. After the record of the doctor is clean, you can put your faith in him and go ahead with the medication he gives or the surgery he is required to do. It is only human to do this.
