Can Convicted Felon Work In Medical Billing And Coding?

I hate to be the barer if bad news, but you cannot work in the medical field if you have been convicted of a felony. I've been trying for the last 13 years. Try something else and when you find something let me know because I'm stuck right now waited 10 years to go to school and 2 more to save money so I can only to be kicked in the head every way I go. Best of luck Oh yeah!depending on what state you are from you can't hold any  professional license  from the state if you have a felony check your state laws for licensing.

Yes a convicted felon can work in any field.  Certain things apply like how recent your conviction, but you can obtain a job in the medical field.  The only jobs that I know of that felon's cannot obtain would be criminal ones like police officer, judge, or detention worker.
