It usually takes about a year to a year and a half to become a lpn.. And about two-two and half years to become a registered nurse.. What I would do is get you lpn first and get a job with that a go to school at night for your rn..once you have you lpn license it usually only takes about a additional year to became a registered nurse.. If in the case you want to go straight ahead and become a registered nurse it will take you about to years.
I am going to school in Texas and the program is a night program and takes 18 months. The day program is 12 months. They have a transitional track after that takes another year to be a RN.
