Actually, I am now working towards my Pharm D degree in Arizona at Midwestern University, and what I had to do was attend a Community college and do all of my Pre-req's and pass the PCAT. The program I am in now only offers the Doctrate which is an accelerated 3 year program. I also have a friend who just graduated last year and she is making 62,000.00 already as a clinical pharmacist.

4years of Pre-Pharmacy at a University + 4 years of Specialised Pharmacy School + 2-4 years as an Intern with a Pharmacist and then you will have a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree,
I went through this in the you. S.Army and not only Graduated as A Doctor of Pharmacy, but was Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant since I went into College;Pre-Pharmacy and actual Pharmacist School through Army ROTC.
The Army paid my training;costs of College and gave me an "allowance to live on during my Training.
You must have a High IQ and do "Great" on your ASVAB.
A Civilian Pharmacist makes appx. $35-$40.00 per hour, but there is a LOT of hassle with DEA Paperwork amongst other things.
My advice go to work for one of the VA Hospitals or Pharmacies on a Military Post where the pay is better.
Good Luck to anyone wishing to enter this Field, it is a Rewarding Career!

It would take about 4 years of university studying, then you would have to go and work in a pharmacy to gain experience. This is also called as pre-registration, a step before you are registered as a qualified pharmacist. I am not sure what the demand is but anyone with a degree or good qualification would be welcomed in ANY country.
