They get paid what they get paid. I'd just be happy if they ACTUALLY worked, taught the lessons and kept their personal opinions out of it. But, this can't seem to happen. It's hard enough to get them to show up for school. I'd also appreciate it if they would not share "attitudes" with the children. My child got many bad habits...liking shaking her head and pointing a finger....from her teachers.
Everyday I have had to come home from work and discuss the day with her and basically UNSCREW my daughter's head from all of the crap she's being fed.
Most recent.....11th grade English teacher is talking about post traumatic syndrome. He claims that the gov't only ALLOWS 8% of the active duty/veterans to claim this. This is a L I E.
I am a veteran and I have hearing problems...never once I have I been rejected or treated unfairly by a VA Hospital. Her twirp teacher, of course, has NEVER been in the military.

Why can't he just teach English?

Ditto. All true. Everyone has a part in teaching their children how to act in school, how to respect authority and teachers must have patience. Dont have patience-dont be a teacher.

No...I need to see more improvement on the teachers part, some of them. Many of them are getting increasingly impatient, scold and insult our children, send them home crying, dont want to answer questions because they feel the child should get the answer the first time, then they get off an entire summer. No, not extra, but no less. I do feel although that the limit ot teacher to student should be 22 for everyone 1 teacher with an assistant. I dont think that the assistant should be doing all of the teachers work. And I feel that parents should be allowed to look in on their kids while in the classroom.

An assistant( ?) not .teachers use to have to actually earn their paycheck by teaching the class/every student individually and still do the job of grading and preparing the lessons.i never had any apprentice or assistant when doing my job 60 hours a week.besides if the teacher is going to assign homework isn't it only fair that they have to take some work home also. : )

The reason I mentioned the assistant? Is because I've heard of and seen a few horror stories where the teachers abuse the fact that they have an assistant and hand over all of their paperwork/classwork to be graded over to their assistant. Of course an assistant should be there to help, but not so the bulk of the work goes to the asst. Or to take off days when they shouldn't. If you've never had an assistant then that's great.

Humm since most mothers dont get paid for just being mothers excluding working outside of the home then that would mean that teachers already make more lol
