Hell yes ... As long as it meets minimum wage.
Why do you think they would pay you more than what you asked, if it saves them money?
If a company ask you to write your expected salary and you gave a really low figure will they actually give you that salary?
If they hire you, yes. They may also pass you over because they feel you don't think enough of yourself. Find the average salary for someone with your education and experience in your area and go with that.
