Intelligence is one of the major essentials that should exist in a nurse. A nurse should be Compassionate, energetic, self-confident, fast-learner, adaptable and flexible as like to every situation and every environment.

Nurse should be able to handle pressure well. Good communication skills, a great stamina, the ability to cope with stress, a great sense of humor, well at observing and empathetic are some of the characteristics that should be a part of good nurse.
