It depends on where you go to school. In some schools, the architecture program requires a full bachelors degree (in the area of your choice) BEFORE you can apply to the school of architecture, where you will spend (approx) another three years on top of your bachelors degree (usually four years), which leaves you with seven years in total. Some schools, such as North Dakota State University (which is where I am attending for architecture) have a complete MASTERS PROGRAM. They have a dedicated five year curriculum that is incredibly intensive, but you graduate with a bachelors AND MASTERS degree. This only takes five years.
